Career as an Entrepreneur

Entrepreneurial ability derives from the accumulation of relevant skills, knowledge, experiences and contacts over a few years, in addition to large doses of self-development.

People with entrepreneurial ability generate new ideas and turn them into organizational successes. Three types of entrepreneurial ability are clearly distinguished:

1-Independent.

2-Organizational Spin-Offs.

3-Internal.

Individuals with independent entrepreneurial capacity becoming entrepreneurs by creating a new organization or recovering others, without the benefit of organizational support.

In Spin-offs, people become entrepreneurs by creating independent business units, with assets acquired from the organization they were part of.

People with internal entrepreneurial capacity are called corporate entrepreneurs or internal entrepreneurs, who create and develop businesses in the organization of which they are a part.

Developing entrepreneurial capacity is part of continuous learning in any organization, and it is common to find in people who act like this the following characteristics that I will describe below.

1-Initiative.

2-Perseverance.

3-Commitment.

4-Efficiency and quality.

5-Courage to take risks, but calculated.

6-Ability to set objective goals.

7-Seek information and opportunities.

8-Detail and Monitor.

9-Persuade.

10-Try to work in a group.

11-Act with independence and self-confidence.

People are exposed daily to dozens of opportunities in life, but most of them only see advertisements and facades, only true professionals with entrepreneurial capacity identify the existing opportunities.

There is also a need for people to demonstrate curiosity and be always attentive, the chances of success increase with observations transformed into knowledge, it is necessary to slowly go up from step to step, develop knowledge and experience to identify and evaluate the most diverse opportunities .

To inhibit or minimize errors in choosing  of the business opportunity, the entrepreneur must take into account the seasonality, the economic situation, the government control, the dependence on suppliers and the uncertainty of costs, the dependence on customers and the uncertainty of prices, the product life cycle, the changes that are taking place in the segment, the impacts of the evolution of technology and barriers to entry.
