The use of computers and the computer network is known as digital marketing, whose basic function is to use the power of online networks. online, computer communication and interactive means to reach target audiences.
Digital marketing are communication actions that companies can use through the internet , cell phones and other digital media, in order to publicize and market their products or services, gaining new customers and improving their relationship network . It encompasses the practice of promoting products or services through the use of electronic distribution channels, so that they reach consumers quickly in a relevant, personalized and more efficient manner.
This type of marketing translates into actions adapted to digital media, in order to obtain, in these channels, the same efficiency and effectiveness as direct marketing and, simultaneously, potentiate the effects of traditional marketing. Digital channels, means and tools are normally used to make them operational.
According to Martha Carrer Cruz Gabriel, the term "digital marketing" does not exist. What will determine the path of marketing itself are the strategies for using digital or traditional platforms, and the choice for one is defined in the way people use them.
In the book Marketing 4.0: From Traditional to Digital, Philip Kotler explains that Digital Marketing is just an evolution of the traditional, where strategies are online and, thus, there is a significant change in the way of entertaining and converting the public into customers.
The whole construction of an action plan begins with a vision, and, next to it, an objective to be achieved. Based on this trait, the means to be used are defined, in order to attain the results. The singular treatment of each client is the secret so that the choice of an action plan is in fact appropriate, only the knowledge of a client or project in question will make the media efforts to enhance the marketing work, thus making it digital .
