

Hierarchical Decision Levels
I'm going to talk to you about the types of information and organizational decisions that follow the standard hierarchy that exists in most companies, which is called the organizational pyramid, in which the levels are known as strategic, tactical (managerial) and operational, I'll explain to you below the three parts of the pyramid and what their functions are.
Strategic decisions are related to long-term goals, with ways and actions that affect the entire company and at all levels.
Tactical decisions relate to shorter-term goals and to ways and actions that generally affect only part of the business.
Operational decisions are related to the company's operational routines and affect only the sectorial units.
STRATEGIC PLANNING:
I'll explain to you about the strategic planning that refers to the decisions and actions that the company's directors (president, directors or executives) take for the development and direction of the company, always foreseeing the future, related to the organization's adaptation to an environment changeable.
1-It serves, above all, to guide the company's many decisions.
2-New product
3-Company expansion
4-New marketing strategies
5-Expansion of the product mix
6-Export
7-Business partnerships
8-Performance in digital commerce (internet)
9-Reduction in the size of the company
10-change in company name (if necessary)

TACTICAL PLANNING:
1-Accept planning planning decisions
2-Plan and control administrative and operational decisions, always seeking efficiency.
Examples that I will put below about the decisions to be taken at the tactical level.
1-Production plans: Methods and technologies will be used by people in their due work, which will be the physical arrangement of the work and which will be the equipment to support activities and tasks.
2-Financial plans that involve raising and applying the money needed to support the various operations of the organization.
3-Marketing Plans which are the requirements to sell and distribute goods and services in the market and serve the potential customer well.
4-Human resource plans that involve recruitment, selection and training of people in the various activities of the organization.
When I refer to operational planning, I am talking about routine decisions that encompass some points that I will mention below.
1-The resources needed for its development and implementation.
2-The procedures to be adopted.
3-The expected end products or results.
4-The established deadlines.
5-Those responsible for its execution and implementation.
Each decision we make, depending on the level at which it belongs, requires different types of information.
At the strategic level, decisions take place at the top management of the organization and the effects generated by these decisions are long-lasting and difficult to reverse. followed by the organization in order to optimize its relationship with the environment.
