When organizations develop their information systems, they usually fulfill a set of phases, the main phases, which I will detail below, for the development and implementation of an information system in a broad manner.

Company Strategic Planning
The top management of a company must have already defined the mission and vision of the company (in its broader purpose) and the long-term vision, with the objectives (goals) and projects associated with such objectives, these projects are deployed to functional areas of the company in subprojects, action plans up to the level of actions operational.a greater detail defines the goals of each functional area, the results quantified what is expected to be achieved for each of the objectives. These goals define the challenges to be pursued by employees in the company's operational plan.

Strategic Information Planning
The systems specialists, based on the vision and its development, establish, in common agreement with senior management, the guidelines for the strategic use of information and technology, then define the indicators and reports that the information system should generate ,as well as the information technology necessary for the storage, processing and communication of information in general, the strategic planning of information must define, starting from the vision and its deployment.
1-Which internal and external indicators should be considered.
2-What information is most relevant and potentially important to enable such indicators.
3-How the information will be structured, how it will be collected in which means and in which correct formats.
4-How the information processing will be done, that is, what are the appropriate methods and instruments.
5-How information will be stored and accessed by users.
6-How the information can be applied in actions and decision-making.

Business Area Analysis
Systems Analysts define and model the processes necessary to operate a specific business area, define how these processes are related and what data is required is developed separately in each area and define how each part of the system should be operated.

System Project
Systems Specialists define a conceptual solution for the system to be implemented, that is, how the system will be in terms of architecture, data and procedures, the solution is the result of a process of successive refinements of each of these elements.

System Construction
System analysts with programmers implement the system in computer language so that it can be put into operation.

System Deployment
And Once the various components of the system have been brought together in a gradual and systematic way, establishing safe steps for its full operation in the user's environment, the final implementation is the result of planning carried out in advance, at the beginning of the development activities of the information system, the implementation of the system requires training of users, especially in the way they access, change and introduce data and information.

System Maintenance
Once the system is implemented, it requires continuous maintenance, maintenance requires gathering all activities related to changes in information systems, the main causes of changes are as follows.
1-error correction.
2-adaptation (to new operating environments or due to changes in legislation, corporate criteria or organizational structure).
3-Improvement of the system (inclusion of new functions, changes in interfaces etc...)
